Question 1

Are consultations free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Initial consultation and site assessment are free and without obligation. Before any work begins, we give you a clear, itemised proposal, no surprises inside the quotation.

Question 2

How much does a solar or battery system cost?

Accepted Answer

Cost depends on your loads, site, and the configuration you need. We design around your actual consumption, so we provide a tailored quotation, not a generic price list.

Question 3

Will you help me understand the return on investment?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A written proposal includes the upfront cost, expected running costs, and an honest comparison against your current spend (typically generator fuel), so you can decide with the numbers in front of you.

Question 4

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Bank transfer and direct deposit. For corporate procurement, we provide pro-forma invoices and receipts for every stage of the project. Ask us about payment arrangements that suit you.

Question 5

Is there a free consultation or obligation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The initial consultation and assessment are free and carry zero obligation. We assess your needs, design a system, provide a detailed proposal, and you decide. No pressure, no hidden fees.

Question 6

Will solar work during Nigeria's rainy season?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Panels still produce on cloudy days, just at reduced output, and a properly sized battery bank bridges the gaps. We size battery capacity to carry your critical loads through the night and low-sun periods.

Question 7

What happens if the system fails?

Accepted Answer

We diagnose issues (remotely where possible) and arrange service visits. Every system is covered by the written warranty and after-sales terms in your proposal, we do not leave a client without support.

Question 8

How long will the components last?

Accepted Answer

Solar panels typically carry very long rated life (often 25+ years), LiFePO4 batteries are built for many years of deep-cycle use, and quality inverters are designed for years of service. We document the actual specifications and any product warranty in your proposal in writing.

Question 9

Will my battery work if grid power is completely unavailable?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when it is designed for it. We design systems for both grid-tied and off-grid operation, and we are clear in the proposal about which mode yours uses.

Question 10

Can I still use my generator if needed?

Accepted Answer

Yes, hybrid inverters can integrate a generator as an extra backup layer. We explain how automatic switching works and how the system manages generator runtime.

Question 11

How long does installation actually take?

Accepted Answer

Every project differs, a small home battery-and-inverter system is usually completed within days, while larger solar or commercial projects take longer. You receive a realistic schedule in the proposal, and we stick to it.

Question 12

Will installation damage my roof?

Accepted Answer

We take care to protect your property: proper mounting with modest, weather-sealed penetrations, secure rails, and neat cable routing. The mounting approach is agreed with you (and verified against your roof) before we start.

Question 13

What does the installation process look like?

Accepted Answer

1. Site assessment: we measure the space, loads, and site conditions. 2. System design with a written proposal. 3. Sourcing of components. 4. Installation: mounting, panels, battery assembly, inverter, and wiring. 5. Commissioning: circuits tested and verified. 6. Handover: walkthrough of how the system works.

Question 14

Can I stay in my home during installation?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in most cases. Residential work is minimally disruptive: panels go on the roof, and battery/inverter equipment goes in a utility area. We work around your schedule and leave the property tidy each day.

Question 15

How do I know what size system I need?

Accepted Answer

That is exactly what the free assessment determines. We measure your actual consumption and identify your priority loads, then we propose a size that fits, we do not oversell systems you do not need.

Question 16

What ongoing maintenance is required?

Accepted Answer

Very little: periodic panel cleaning (a couple of times a year, more in dusty areas), basic battery charge-state checks, and an annual electrical inspection of connections. We offer scheduled maintenance visits and can agree a plan with you.

Question 17

How quickly do you respond to support requests?

Accepted Answer

We respond promptly through WhatsApp and phone, and arrange service visits as needed. We are honest about dispatch times at the point of request, you will not be left without a date.

Question 18

Can you service a system someone else installed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We service, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade existing solar, inverter, and battery systems, including systems installed by other companies. We inspect, diagnose, and bring the system to a safe, working state.

Question 19

What happens at the end of battery life?

Accepted Answer

LiFePO4 batteries are built for many years of service. When the time comes, we discuss replacement options and responsible disposal, we do not dump batteries or cells.

Question 20

How does the system handle grid availability?

Accepted Answer

Hybrid systems switch seamlessly between solar, battery, and grid. When the grid is available the system can use it first; when it fails, the battery takes over automatically. Everything is automatic and safe.

Question 21

Is lithium battery technology safe?

Accepted Answer

LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) is widely used for stationary storage because it is thermally stable and highly resistant to thermal runaway. Our battery packs include BMS (Battery Management System) protection covering over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit conditions.

Question 22

How environmentally friendly is solar power?

Accepted Answer

Solar replaces generator fuel, which means cleaner air, less noise, and zero on-site emissions. Panels and batteries are also designed to be recyclable at end of life, talk to us about responsible disposal when the time comes.

Question 23

Can I add more panels or batteries later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A well-designed system can grow with you, adding panels or extending battery capacity later is possible when the architecture allows. Let us know your future plans during the design stage.

Question 24

What makes Flash J different from other solar companies?

Accepted Answer

We are mechatronics engineers, not general contractors or resellers. We design and assemble our own lithium battery packs, engineer each system for the specific site, and stay with the project long after installation with support, maintenance, and upgrades.
